Sunset Beach - Mauka

Our client wanted to transition this grassy terrace with a few fruit trees into a productive food forest with a diversity of flowering pollinators, ground covers, bananas, mango, ulu, lychee, and cacao. Due to the high trade winds, we incorporated a pigeon pea windbreak which serves multifunctions; 1)The pods are edible 2) It can be pruned and used as mulch for the climax species 3) It’s a fast growing windbreak hedge.
