Consultation and Site Visit

To get started on the design process, we will talk briefly over the phone and develop a sense for the project and your vision. We may include some “homework” to prepare for the consultation. Then, we offer an onsite consultation where we discuss your vision, make observations of how the sun, wind, and water flow through your site. This process takes 1-2 hours and includes a follow up email with an outline and recommendations. Plant species can also be suggested for installing windbreaks and for controlling runoff of sediment and nutrients to protect our near shore reefs.

If you choose to move forward with the design process, we will work with you to identify a project scope, create an estimate, and begin the design process.

Site Design and Install

Our design goals are to put the right plant in the right place. We use our extensive knowledge in edible and native plant species to create a design that aligns with your vision and your geographic area.

You will receive a complete to scale sketch and an itemized species list with the budget and project phases.

Our regenerative farming designs focus on restoring soil health and function as the basis for activating nutrient cycling and other essential biological functions essential to the healthy growth of your trees. This includes a soil fertility test, soil health assessment, and an ecological nutrient management regime to routinely add specific carbon and mineral amendments and organic fertilizers to feed your plants and a diversity of soil micro-organisms.

Maintenance

We provide maintenance services including pruning, harvesting, mowing, soil health monitoring, fertilization, pest management, and implementation of an ecological nutrient management regime.

Bulk Order from Our Nursery

We sell a large selection of avocado, mango, citrus, and other sub tropical fruit trees. We specialize in growing resilient edible and native plant species that mimic a forest ecosystem including ground covers, herbs, shrubs, tubers, vines, and windbreak species. Please see our plant inventory or contact us for additional questions.

If you are interested in starting an orchard and want to install 20+ trees, consider working with us on a custom order. This allows you to select the varieties and types of fruit trees and companion plants rather than working from our existing inventory. We are also connected to other growers and food hubs regionally around the island for those interested in learning about the potential earnings on fruit crops.

Learn to Grow & Graft Your Own

Join our ‘Growers Community”. We host quarterly workshops where you can learn and connect with other fruit growing enthusiasts from our North Shore community. An educational workshop series and YouTube channel will be coming soon to help you prepare your land to plant fruit trees, build soil health, add carbon and activate soil microbes to regenerate nutrient cycling, add essential minerals to optimize the nutrient density of the food you’re growing, setup irrigation, propagate and graft your own trees, and setup a nutrient management routine. Joining our growers community is a fun way to increase your knowledge about the skill of grafting, diversify your existing orchard or garden, and learning with a network of others through every step of the process.

Field Grafting

Our ‘topworking’ services (in-field grafting) enhance existing trees and orchards to increase productivity. This service is ideal for those with a signature tree or orchard that is not consistently yielding desired fruit.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Building Soil & Growing Nutrient Dense

We partner with Hawaii Regenerative Food Movement to provide soil and plant sap testing, in-field soil health assessments, and consultation on soil building designs and nutrient management plans for growing nutrient dense food using regenerative practices.
